OpenSUSE 11.1 has 3G Mobile broadband out of the box
For Linux users using 3G mobile broadband has been a bit of a pain. Well not anymore. OpenSUSE 11.1 come with 3G and Mobile broadband integrated with Gnome’s Network Manager and it’s Plug’n Play, un-Linux like painless plug’n play. I tried 2 different devices, my Hauwei 3G Dongle and my Sumsung Tocco. These are not the only improvements there’s a whole list of new and upgraded features. See the official release post from the OpenSUSE blog.
I have always been a big fan of SUSE Linux but I decided to also give Ubuntu a try, it was a good experience but it’s now time to part with Ubuntu and back to OpenSUSE.
