I googled around a bit and found that the linux version is working with the free account. Still when adds pop up I cannt click them away. A temporary solution for this which I found on another forum is to select the music you want to play and switch to the tap ´what´s new´. The adds won´t show up in the ´what´s new´ section. Now waiting for an upgrade.

Once you set the file manager to handle the desktop, you can then add shortcuts to the Desktop directly or in the /home/desktop folder.

Hi,

I set option “Have file manager handle the desktop” to ON in the Advanced Settings, but there is no icons appear on my desktop. What might be wrong? and what should I do to fix the problem? Thanks.

More info: on Open SUSE 12.1 I downloaded the WinHTTP.dll from http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?winhttp unziped and copied it to

/home/'your user name'/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32

Installation:

1. open Applications/Configure wine
2. click on Library
3. under "New override for Library" find and select winhttp, click add, then ok
4. restart Spotify.

If the "Connect to Facebook" pop-up fails to work, just connect to Facebook via http://spotify.com and restart Spotify after that.

Here is what I did and it worked.

Firefox

went to about:config
then changed any string that had Ask.com to google.com (right click modify)

Then for the remaining toolbar on top of the browse.
Click the small triangle on the left at end of search box. Then select Manage Search Engines. Move up your referred search engine and remove the one you do not want (Ask.com). Click OK. This should help.

Cheers
